Farmer Joe by P James Bryans

14 July – 31 July 2010

Do you remember your childhood?

Do you remember what you saw?

Do you remember the feeling? The wonder, the innocence?

Do you remember everything or just the important bits?

For P. James Bryans it was a childhood full of daydreams, farm life and wonder of the bushland down the back block, the thousands of colours in a single blade of grass… the universe.

Growing up on an idyllic farmlet he spent his days (after the animals had been fed) wandering through the bush and giving his imagination free reign.

Now, as an adult, he aims to capture the fleeting moments that we treasure, imperfect and incomplete, but which we hold precious and which make us who we are.

View Wed to Fri 12 – 6pm  Sat 2-4.45pm, from Wed 14 July to Sat 31 July

Howards Mind by Julian Masters

Posted in Exhibitions on September 10th, 2009 by kiersti – Be the first to comment

Central TAFE Showcase Gallery

10 – 16 September

Perth based photographer Julian Masters has created Howard’s Mind as a document of his wanderings in the world. What started out being a love for the camera has ended as a social documentary and a love for the subjects encountered in urban spaces. The images explore both the human condition and the structure of urban towns.

Created over the last 25 years through a range of film and digital mediums, the collection is candid, displaying insight into and empathy with the lives and environs of the often anonymous subjects.
