Revealed: Emerging Aboriginal Artists from Western Australia 2013
Revealed is an exhibition, marketplace, symposium and professional development program, linking emerging Aboriginal artists and arts centres from across WA with audiences and opportunities in Perth.
The one-day marketplace at the Perth Cultural Centre is a unique opportunity to buy artworks directly from artists and art centres in a friendly, informal atmosphere, complemented by a cultural program of film, music and education.
The exhibition at the Central Institute of Technology, Northbridge, will feature artworks from more than 35 of the best emerging Aboriginal generic viagra online artists from across the State.
Artists featured in Revealed represent a diverse range of Aboriginal language groups. Revealed provides these artists with an opportunity to connect with industry professionals, as well as build networks between artists and art centres. Revealed showcases their work to new audiences and markets.
A free public symposium will present a line-up of speakers ranging from key industry figures through to remote area artists. The professional development program comprises workshops and other activities aimed at Indigenous artists and art centre staff.

The Revealed exhibition showcases art by emerging Western Australian Aboriginal artists, across a variety of artistic mediums and with a diverse range of styles. The majority of these artists come from regional and remote areas of the State, ranging from Kalumburu in the far north, to Albany in the south. Â Artworks are for sale and admission is free. The income and exposure for the artists on show develops their art practice and provides a real contribution to regional and remote livelihoods.

Aboriginal Art Centres display and sell an exciting range of work directly to the public, while sharing the stories of their art and communities. Â Twenty Aboriginal-owned art centres from across WA will have stalls where visitors can buy art from the people who make it. The festival atmosphere of the Marketplace will be enriched by music, film and art-making. Admission free.

The Professional Development program spans:
Artistic Program: using the high quality facilities of the Central Institute of Technology, new skills will be provided in fibre, painting, printmaking and life drawing and digital media.
Operational Program: delivered by a range of experienced facilitators, the program will examine key issues in the sector, including pricing, curatorial practice, product diversification and industry development.
Artsworker Traineeships

A team of trainee Aboriginal artsworkers joins the project to develop their curatorial and management skills, preparing the exhibition, networking across Perth’s art sector and helping to host the Revealed event.
